The defensive rifle has been a staple of American history back to the lever guns of the old west. Superior ballistics, capacity, and control give it an advantage for tactical use over a pistol. This course covers operation, set-up, and fundamentals of running a tactical rifle. Students will work fundamentals of accuracy, pushing their rifle out to 200 yards, and an assortment of CQB (Close Quarters Battle) drills building your skillset and ability that include reloads, shoulder switching, transition to secondary weapon, and shooting accurately on the move to name a few. The final day of class will culminate with isolation drills to increase speed of specific skills, engaging steel targets on the unknown distance range, and structure clearing.
While this class is geared towards the AR-15 family of rifles, other platforms such as the AK, SCAR 16, Steyr AUG, HK93, or others are welcome.
