Shotgun 1

$500.00

This course will cover the modern shooting technique that significantly reduces recoil, boosting the training experience in every way. Ammo selection, target engagement, and loading techniques. You’ll learn the specifics of shotgun application, including close quarters, defensive buckshot and slug selection, and the use of cover, concealment, space and angles, while using the defensive shotgun within a structure.

This course is developed around standard defensive semi-automatic and pump action shotguns. (Ie 1301, A300, 870, 590, 500, 930, 940 etc) A two point adjustable sling is needed for this class, we recommend Blue Force Gear Vickers padded, Magpul and VTAC have quality offerings as well. You’ll want a “dump pouch” to carry shells. Wilderness Tactical and Maxpedition make very useful offerings. We highly recommend a shortened stock if able for the defensive application of the shotgun. The Magpul SGA Stock is the most common way to achieve this, but wood stocks can be shortened and youth stocks are even a solid option. Lastly, a side saddle shell carrier will be of great benefit in this course. Vang Comp shell cards, Aridus Industries QD Shell carrier, and various other brands can be easily fitted to most shotguns.
